Dr. Johnson is an assistant public policy and administration professor and a Fulbright Scholar from the Global South. His research explores the impact of administrative burdens on public administration and democratic governance, focusing on policymaking, implementation, and social equity. He also investigates digital transformation’s effects on governance, cybersecurity, and public administration. His book, Cryptocurrency and Public Policy: Implications for Democracy and Governance, addresses how technology intersects with race, citizenship, and public policy. Dr. Johnson has published on topics such as digital transformation’s role in post-COVID tourism recovery and its impact on higher education. His work appears in Government Information Quarterly, Administration and Society, and the Journal of Behavioral and Public Administration. He has consulted local governments, embassies, and organizations like the OAS, USAID, the EU, and the World Bank.
