Biography

Dr. Himanshu Upadhyay has served as Program Director at FIU’s Applied Research Center for 22 years, leading the Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and IT research group. He is also an Associate Professor in the College of Electrical and Computer Engineering, teaching AI, machine learning, and cybersecurity courses. With over 33 years of experience, he has led multimillion-dollar projects for the Department of Defense and the Department of Energy, focusing on AI, machine learning, big data, and cybersecurity. His research covers AI, deep learning, quantum machine learning, cyber analytics, and blockchain. He has published extensively and manages a team working on secured enterprise information systems while mentoring students in undergraduate and graduate programs.
