    Alexander Perez-Pons joined FIU’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2013. With over 15 years of academic experience, he is recognized for his teaching and research in real-time systems, security, biometrics, and semantic link associations. He has published numerous journal articles and consulted in business intelligence, mobile technologies, and network security. Dr. Perez-Pons, who holds a Ph.D. from the University of Miami, specializes in cybersecurity and real-time embedded systems. He is a senior IEEE member and focuses on wearable sensor security, software-defined networks, mobile malware, reverse engineering, and digital forensics.
