    Dr. Howard K. Holness is currently the Interim Assoc. Dean of Administration at FIU’s Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences. In his previous role as the Chief of Academic Administration within the Office of the Provost, Dr. Holness was responsible for interactions between individual colleges and the provost. He facilitated operations impacting hiring processes, worked on improving faculty recognition programs, and set up new sections within the office of the provost that allowed for greater use of institutional data. Dr. Holness recently served as the Director of Research and Development within the Global Forensic and Justice Center. Dr. Holness has a Ph.D. in Chemistry and has conducted research projects in forensic science and improved program offerings for our students within the university’s popular Forensic Science courses.
