Jason Liu is an Endowed Computer Science Professor at the Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences, Florida International University (FIU). He was previously a Research Scientist at Dartmouth ISTS and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He has held visiting positions at Tsinghua University, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Université Pierre et Marie Curie. Dr. Liu received his B.S. from Beijing University of Technology, M.S. from the College of William and Mary, and Ph.D. from Dartmouth College. His research focuses on modeling and simulation, parallel discrete-event simulation, and performance modeling of computer systems and networks. He serves on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals and the Steering Committee of ACM SIGSIM-PADS. An NSF CAREER awardee and ACM Distinguished Scientist, his research has been supported by agencies including NSF, DOE, DOD, DHS, and NIH.
